Texans for Public Justice, Public Citizen and the Freedom of Information Foundation of Texas told the Texas Supreme Court today that a labor coalition seeking documents under the open records law should not be forced to disclose information about itself and its associates. In a "friend of the court" brief the groups urged the high court to overturn a lower court ruling that threatens access to public documents.
