John Colyandro, the director of Tom DeLay's TRMPAC who faced multiple felony charges for raising and spending corporate money in the 2002 Texas elections, was allowed to plead guilty today to lessor misdemeanor charges. According to reports by the Austin American-Statesman Colyandro will be fined $8,000 and will have his conviction record expunged after one year.

"This sweetheart plea deal sends a message that its OK to steal an election in Texas," said TPJ Director Craig McDonald.
