Bills to promote Texas' fledgling craft brewery industry again may be drowned by some of the powerful beer distributors who inebriated state officials with $7 million in campaign cash. One distributor trade group has worked with lawmakers and microbreweries on legislation to promote craft brewers. But a rival group with more clout seems hell-bent on crushing competition from small brewers, who gave Texas politicians chump change.
